I teach classes
on basic quilt and felt making,
embellishment and imagery in all forms. Photography is often
central to my own work and thus my teaching and I love sharing any
techniques which inspire creative pursuits for all ages. I am
a career educator with emphasis on nurturing self-exploration and
self-expression whose love of the great Southwest brought me to
Arizona.
I began to sew at
my grandmother's knee and as she shared with me, I am privileged to
share with you and others. Classes can be customized to meet
the individual needs of your group or guild. Please contact me
to discuss your specific interests, group size and venue. I'm
available for seminars, conferences, galleries, guilds, and quilt
and fiber shops. For more information about my teaching,
speaking, or judging experience, please go to
About Rita on this website.
I encourage you to visit my blogs
at http://ritablocksom.blogspot.com/ and
http://feltingfantasy.blogspot.com regularly (or even
irregularly) to see what’s new in my little corner of the world and
what and where I’m currently sharing with
fiber friends. You may even
see yourself there if you’ve attended a class with me recently.
